The reason you would want to do that is because your smartphone can now be receiving and sending calls using the MagicJack via wifi network. It is cheap and very convenient. No more reaching out to the cordless phone at home. Your smartphone is your home phone. As long you are within the wifi range you can receive and call out using Magicjack for android. I have installed on my wife’s smartphone also. Now there is no excuse for us to miss calls (unless we actually ignore the calls). : )
